Marketing Intern for Golf School - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Host Company Description
This host company is a small business, offering golf lessons to local gold enthusiasts in the area.
We coach golfers all across Michigan through Golf Schools and Private Coaching. Our primary
area of golfers across West Michigan. The company founder and CEO has helped first-time
golfers get the correct swing from the very start, creating a strong foundation to build upon over a
lifetime. Men and women of all ages and skill levels have improved their games using his
instruction. He offers personal instruction is offered various indoor locations throughout the year.
Applicant Qualifications
- To apply for this internship program, you must be a business administration or marketing
studies undergraduate/graduate student (maximum duration - 12 months)
- To apply for this trainee program, you must hold a bachelor degree business
administration or marketing and have at least 1 year of work experience in a related field,
OR be a career professional of 5 or more years of experience (maximum duration - 18
months)
- Excellent English communication required
- Must be familiar with golf
- Willing to advance the current skills and knowledge by learning American business traits
Internship Program Details
Intern will work off-site as a virtual assistant as well as on-site at
two golf locations, networking events around Grand Rapids and at home office in Walker, MI.
- Intern to work 32 hours a week in all facets of a direct marketing results driven campaign.
- Learn and apply marketing skills including direct response, copywriting, sales letters,
order forms, creative offers.
- Practice networking skills including attending networking events. Giving and receiving
referrals. Collecting leads contact info. Learning The Funneling Conversation and
additional training from my affiliates at The Referral Institute.
- Implementation skills. Addressing and designing envelopes, fliers, promotions. Handling
client maintenance, cold and warm calling, database management. Trade shows and
follow-up.
- Intern will gain publicity skills and assist with writing press releases
- He/she will be responsible for social media management- video, blog, LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter
