Host Company Description
This is a medium size Chinese restaurant that can accommodate up to 200 guests inside and
about 25 outdoors on the terrace. This is a favorite for Chinese food in Ocean City and the new
owners are very excited about remodeling the place to reflect a more update, upbeat Chinese
flair. The present chef is a very experienced Chinese Chef with a staff of Chinese helpers. The
menu offers Chinese favorites and everything offered is freshly made with no pre-cooked
preparations.
Applicant Qualifications
- To apply for this trainee program, you must hold a hospitality management degree, and
have at least 1 year of kitchen work experience, OR be a career professional of 5 or more
years of experience (maximum duration - 12 months)
- Excellent English communication required
- Must know how to operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat
fryers, or griddles
- Must know how to cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on
several different orders simultaneously
- Schedule activities and equipment use with managers, using information about daily
menus to help coordinate cooking times
- Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and
prepare and cook food according to instructions
- Must know how to operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat
fryers, or griddles
